Meet the big dreamers! Our team is made up of the parents, teachers, businessmen and women, volunteer base, and so many more who choose to invest in the leaders of the next generation. Here are the core staff members involved in connecting it all to make it happen.
Michael is passionate about seeing dreams come true in the hearts and lives of youth. In 2011, he launched Loveworks with the focus to start an afterschool program for middle school students. Under his leadership, Loveworks has impacted the lives of over 10,000 students and is on a mission to give every student an opportunity to lead. Michael has been working with youth for more than 15 years, and is dedicated to inspiring young leaders. Michael is a father of two girls and one boy, loving husband to Selah, and a 11-time Ironman triathlete.
Carolyn is the resident botanist at Loveworks! She first got involved with Loveworks as a college volunteer, expecting just to tutor students. Her passion to see young teens discover their potential and live into their dreams was soon reignited, and she found herself more at Loveworks than in the pharmaceutical lab that she researched in. She traded in her lab coat and hasn’t looked back since! She’s a big foodie and loves music, so you’ll typically see her brunching on the weekends or at concerts big and small.
Elle joins us with a background in higher education administration and program management. She is a world traveler and loves to learn about other cultures. More than anything, Elle enjoys meeting new people. She loves to listen and ask questions to inquire about hopes and dreams, and working with people to establish the steps to achieve their goals. Elle is happily married with three children who love Raising Little Leaders and working in the Loveworks Garden.

Kat is known as the meteorologist around Loveworks! She first stepped on our campus as a volunteer her freshman year in college and fell in love with the mission of Loveworks. She is passionate about instilling positive and constructive mindsets and learning to be confident in yourself. Kat is happily engaged to Sean, who also volunteers at Loveworks, and has a sassy labradoodle puppy named Luna. Outside of Loveworks, you can find her pursuing a higher degree in meteorology or teaching ballet classes.
