The Team

Meet the big dreamers! Our team is made up of the parents, teachers, businessmen and women, volunteer base, and so many more who choose to invest in the leaders of the next generation. Here are the core staff members involved in connecting it all to make it happen.

Michael Hirsch
Executive Director

Michael is passionate about seeing dreams come true in the hearts and lives of youth. In 2011, he launched Loveworks with the focus to start an afterschool program for middle school students. Under his leadership, Loveworks has impacted the lives of over 10,000 students and is on a mission to give every student an opportunity to lead. Michael has been working with youth for more than 15 years, and is dedicated to inspiring young leaders. Michael is a father of two girls and one boy, loving husband to Selah, and a 13-time Ironman triathlete.

Carolyn Le
Associate Director

Carolyn is the resident botanist at Loveworks! She first got involved with Loveworks as a college volunteer, expecting just to tutor students. Her passion to see young teens discover their potential and live into their dreams was soon reignited, and she found herself more at Loveworks than in the pharmaceutical lab that she researched in. She traded in her lab coat and hasn’t looked back since! She’s a big foodie and loves music, so you’ll typically see her brunching on the weekends or at concerts big and small.

Elle Shroyer
Director of Operations

Elle joins us with a background in higher education administration and program management.  She is a world traveler and loves to learn about other cultures.  More than anything, Elle enjoys meeting new people.  She loves to listen and ask questions to inquire about hopes and dreams, and working with people to establish the steps to achieve their goals.  Elle is happily married with three children who love Raising Little Leaders and working in the Loveworks Garden.

Brent Wheelbarger
Director of Youth Entrepreneurship

Brent has been involved in student entrepreneurship ever since Wristworld began in 2018, a student tech start-up run by middle school and high school students. He himself is an entrepreneur as he is founder and CEO of Trifecta Communications, a media/technology company specializing in advertising, production and emerging technology. Trifecta started in the room next to Brent’s garage and has since grown to serve governmental, non-profit and business clients in Oklahoma and internationally. Brent is also co-founder of Viribus VR Labs along with Bob Eskew and Tony Williams, a tech-startup developing virtual reality therapy tools for children with cerebral palsy.
